The public hearing regarding the Sunshine Coast Regional District’s Riparian and Shoreline Bylaw Amendments scheduled for MONDAY, JUNE 24, 2024, at 7 PM has been postponed by the SCRD.
The meeting was to implement new restrictions such as changing ocean property setbacks from 7.5 meters to 15 meters in Area A and all Electoral Areas.
The SCRD stated that they received a considerable number of questions related to the proposed amendments. As a result, the SCRD will host a public information meeting prior to the rescheduled public hearing. The SCRD says this will provide an opportunity for residents to ask questions prior to the hearing taking place.
