Dear Members,
PHARA is pleased to report positive progress in our legal action following a Judicial Management Conference held on September 23 before Justice Ramsay.
We were encouraged by Justice Ramsay’s active and fair, measured approach to managing the case.
She established clear timelines for the parties to work through the remaining procedural matters and keep the case moving forward. Both sides now have some work to complete, with a further case management conference scheduled for October 23 to review progress and determine the next steps.
We were also encouraged by the Court’s focus on moving the case toward trial without unnecessary delay. While the current trial date is November 2027, Justice Ramsay indicated that an earlier trial date may be possible, potentially in the summer or fall of 2027.
Overall, we are very pleased with the progress and with the clear path forward that is emerging. After a long road to get to this point, it is encouraging to see the case moving ahead in a timely and orderly manner.
We will continue to do the work necessary to move this important constitutional challenge forward and will keep our supporters informed as significant developments occur.
Thank you for standing with us. Your support continues to make it possible for PHARA to see this case through.
