– Led restoration of Forest View Cemetery

– Pender Harbour pioneer
– 50+ years with Pender Harbour Community Club
– Ran Bargain Barn for 30+ years

– Received Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012
Lifetime Volunteer Award: Billy Griffith
– Lifelong Egmont resident and commercial fisherman
– Volunteered for salmon enhancement
– Founding member of Egmont Lions Club
– Served on various boards including Health Centre Society and Wildlife Society
– President of Skookumchuck Heritage Society since 1994
– Helped build Egmont Heritage Centre in 2005
Volunteer of the Year: Bill Gilkes
– Deputy Fire Chief, Pender Harbour Fire Department
– Led dangerous rescue operation
– Mentors younger firefighters
– Volunteers for community events
Lifetime Achievement Award: Doreen Lee
– Co-founded key cultural institutions
– Helped establish first community library
– Founding member of Health Centre Board
– Co-founder of Bargain Barn thrift store
Lifetime Achievement Award: Barrie Wilbee
– Long-serving Fire Protection District Board chair
– Involved in numerous community organizations and committees
– Founded Sunshine Coast Economic Development Commission
– Board member of Sunshine Coast Community Foundation
– Honored with named scholarship for community economic development
